Examples of Our Work

Grant Development

The West Coast Strategic Executive Director, Nada Djordjevich, developed this dynamic STEM Partnership grant, iTEAMS. The project website includes dozens of resources and examples of student and teacher work created through this innovative partnership grant. This was one of eleven STEM grants developed by our Executive Director.

Evaluation of Federal Grants

Our Executive Director led the evaluation for this $29 million federal grant for five years.  Please see the evaluation reports from 2013 to 2017. Evaluation content included analysis of student academic and engagement indicators, family engagement, and professional learning resources.

Community Outreach & Planning

Our Executive Director led the community engagement efforts for this Community Climate Action Plan currently in place for the Unincorporated Areas of Alameda County. Project included extensive direct outreach, stakeholder interviews, and questionnaire and survey sampling. More than 400 individuals provided input into this plan.

Program Evaluation

We have conducted the external evaluation of Super Stars Literacy, an East Bay nonprofit agency funded by AmeriCorps. Evaluation reports include analysis of outcome measures such as literacy and social-emotional development, along with process indicators such as family engagement and professional development.

Interview with Our FOUNDER and CEO

In 2018, the online publication Small Stones conducted an interview with Nada Djordjevich, Founder and CEO of West Coast Strategic. The interview, Public Education in Anxious Times and Hope in Everyday Actions, includes several resources on finding quality news in education.
